U has a rite abowt dat, Whiskers! Omg. Expecially Kismet. She has a giant loud. She had to protest everything at a volume much louder than the ambient noise level, to be sure I heard her. If I had the music on, and the road was bumpy, and the a/c was on full blast, and a big semi was passing us… well, Kismet simply had to be louder than all that. She even found ways to amplify herself…. she meowed directly into the air vents (so it traveled through the whole dashboard!) or meowed directly at the window (so it reflected through the whole cab!)
She’s so clever, my yellow cat!
Serenity was a little quieter, though was much more non-verbally direct about her issues…. like the giant stinky poop she took on the dashboard of the truck… oh my lord… so bad… so bad…..
KarmicBalance, however, just holed up in his hidey and napped the whole way. At rest stops he’d cautiously come out a little on a leash, and would snuggle other people who happened to be around (he’s so good about that!)
The truck was nice because it stayed cool. It only has 3 windows, and the windshield was more vertical than most cars… and it had that overhang thing on top, so it stayed cool. The cats didn’t get too hot if I left them in the truck for 10 minutes.
now *THAT* is a relief!! 
Anyway, I left last Sunday (Aug 31) from Tulsa, spent the night in LittleRock. On Monday I went from LittleRock to Nashville and stayed there for the night… then on Tuesday I made it to Knoxville. I took it nice and slow, just tried to enjoy the drive rather than stress myself pushing to get there faster.
The truck got unloaded and returned on Wednesday.
It was all good.
