That cat guy is not bad-looking but looks too much like Billy Bob Thornton for my taste.

Now ladies, if you can’t FIND a cat guy you can MAKE one. I did. My husband was a dog person when we met. We went on 3-4 dates before he came over to my house, and I told him flat-out I have cats now, I will always have cats so you better like it. Don’t ever ask me to get rid of one or all of the cats, because YOU will be gone before they are. Got it? He nodded yes and commenced to making friends with all my cats, especially Pearl, the oldest one.

A few years later when Pearl was 12 she got a tumor on her spleen and we had to say goodbye to her. When I was in the vet’s office, crying in front of the cage and feeling such terrible pain and sadness at this awful impending loss, I looked behind me and saw my husband crying too. I felt such great love for him then, I can’t even put it into words. It was even more so when I realized my first husband would have said, “It’s just a cat” and I’d still be in prison today for murder because I’d have killed him for it. Pearl was waaaaay more than just a cat, she’d been my baby girl all her life.

My “converted” cat man is the best and there’s no reason why you can’t make just as good a one for yourselves, so don’t discount a “non-cat” man right off. They can be won over!
