Whatever you do, Eeck, do NOT mix the Vicodin with alcohol. If you think the Vicodin is making you sick NOW… IIRC they put something into the Vicodin which is supposed to make you vomit if you drink alcohol (since the combination of drugs would be so bad & you need to get the alcohol out of your system before the two mix). You might want to ask your doctor for some other pain medicine that won’t make you sick.

Of corse, there waz anudder “mix up” at the shelter that I won’t bore you wif. Suffice to say, that HappyCat didn’t get hims FIV blood test wen he went in fur his tutoring. So, we have to go back for that.

We were told that we would pick him up at the vet after he was done with his surgery. But, they got him in to the vet a day early, and then, the shelter decided that he had to stay overnight back at the shelter for “observation”. Since everyone goes home at 5 PM, I don’t know who was “observing” him. He couldn’t be picked up until 4:30 PM the following day!

When we went there to pick him up, they said that there was a cat loose in the cat room. We had to hand our carrier through the door and they loaded HappyCat into it and handed him through the door.

I asked if they had any after care instuctions for his surgery, list of vaccinations he received, info on the microchip, etc. Nope, they didn’t have ANY information for us to bring home. She didn’t even know at which hospital he was neutered.

He was SO HAPPY when he got into our bedroom! We loved him up and he couldn’t leave us alone. He was extra happy, even for HappyCat. I slept in the bedroom with HappyCat last night. He seems very comfortable and content. He never cries at the door or tries to get out when I leave. We have a Petcam set up in the room, so even when we’re in the living room, we can keep an eye on what he’s doing.
