One thing that does hearten me, is that there were all those attempts to save the young eagle. Just like the men pulled the deer out of the water, on cuteoverload. Or the guys that disentangled the moose from the wire. Or so many other people saving animals when they could have turned away. This happens frequently, not just occasionally. When I see that people do care about these animals, and go out of their way to help them, I think perhaips the human race isnt totally hopeless after all.

fank u fur da song a cupla pitchurs bak- maded me feelz bedda. I haz bad timz- las nit Mi Mi kitteh (whell- Milo Kat akshuly) gotted outa da neu hous n wuz losted fur 5+ hourz. Himz 12 yerz yung, I wuz skared n wurried….. satted in frunt layn wif flashlit n cawled himz nom bery quietly n den (phew!) himz liddle skardy face pokeded fru da frunt fenc- wuz bout 12:30 am. himz wuz beri skareded-losta beeg goggiez in da neihburhud. Himz purreded n purreded (himz nawt a purin kinda kitteh…) letted me brus himz fur (he hatezez dat) n gib himz bowl ub milk … himz kept purrin n purrin den himz curlz up on da gascats hed n goez nit nit.
I alzo beri sadz caus gascat goin bak to Colomorado Aug 14th ta go bak ta skool… himz mi bestest fren ( eben if himz iz mi kitten), himz awlwaiz unerstanz meiz n weiz kan finish eac udderz sentencz… himz 19, I noez dis iz a gud fing n Iz gotta letz go ub him, butz I lubz him n I iz gona missez him badli. himz happi n Iz reli happi fur him… butz I gotz da momcat bluz….

Yesterday, jd volunteered to take HappyCat if nobody else would be able to… said that he (she??) would be able to foot most of the cost of moving the cat to Portland, OR if necessary. I haven’t seen yet if anyone in Arizona has made a move to claim the kitty. Such a beautiful cat — I hope he gets a furever home really soon.
