There is no excuse for being ignorant when you take on the responsibility that is to own a pet! You should know what you’re dealing with and how to do it, or you shouldn’t own one at all…

I agree that the picture isn’t at all funny or cute but the owners are probably oblivious to the pain he’s in or the discomfort he feels. It’s a case of education, the owners can’t be blamed for being ignorant. This picture is very very sad. I feel so sorry for the cat.

If so many of you REALLY disapprove of this picture and find it to be a case of animal abuse then E-MAIL THE STAFF, STOP FLOODING THE COMMENT AREA WITH COMPLAINTS.

And it might be photoshopped. Take a good look at the resolution of the photo. But I am no photoshop expert, so I am not one to judge.

And if it is real, yes, it is cruel. But instead of having a fit here why not actually go out and make a real hands on effort to help poorly treated animals? Doesn’t that make more sense?

Actually Guinness Book of Records, at one time, did have a category for largest or biggest cat. They dropped the category because owners were deliberately over-feeding their cats just so they could get their name in the book. Sad but true.

This is so sad..it is not cute to see a cat that over weight.
If your cat looks like this you are a terrible owner.
It’s legs don’t even come together in the back – that is crazy.
I wish I could save this kitty.. he surely won’t live a long healthy life. Man this is sad.
