I thotted that way too SMcG, I letted my last kitteh owt b/c she lurved it SOOO much.. until a goggie came into my yard and kilt her. BIG sad.
Wehn I gotted my 2 current kittehs, I used to let them owt.. onlee during daylite, and onlee when I wuz at home. But after fites wif strays, a neer miss wif a car, and several bowts of lysteria from drinkin dirtee waters, and picking up all the half ded things they caughted.. I sed enuf! U is now indoor kittehs!
They did not want at first, but now are just fine indoors, and I duzznt has to have a worry abowt them.
I understands the way u feel, I would luv my kittehs to be free to has fun and clime trees, sniff teh grass… but any vet teck will tell us… the life expecktancy of owtdoor kittesh is WAY shorter than teh indoor wuns.
