Ai iz sorre u haz a sad, but it givz me a happy to hear from such a kind heart. This was a sad end for two kittehs who didn’t deserve it, but you did the right thing - giving them as much love and comfort as they would accept in their last hours. Being in a shelter does provide some level of comfort. It would have been so much worse for the kittehs had indoor raised cats just been dumped on the rood to starve or (as is more likely around here) to be eaten by the coyotes.
