I iz back from Egypt! Brought kitteh-goddess statchoos for eveyone (and the lion goddess for those who asked!), and skittering skarabs to keep the kitteh-statchoose amused. Also brought a mummified brain for Igor (really hard to get that throo Customs, too).
I fell in love with a very handsum blonde, green-eyed fellow there - long, tail and long whiskers…..

On this trip I not be floting down da Nile; I be parting the Red Sea as I snorkled. BUT, the sekond time I floated down the Nile, it wuz az the guest of my soon-to-be huzband, who wuz Captain of the Nile cruise ship at the time. (yes, I haz a thing about ship’s captains…). On the return trip, it wuz just him and me and hiz crew of 60 to wait on us…I felt likes a Rockefeller (now huzband haz much smaller ship, wid a crew of one: me. And it be a surly crew, at that).

Yes - I haz seen the Great Pyramids before, and krawled through a very small tunnel in a mastaba (raised burial site) that pre-dates the pyramids (like, it be really OLD!). This trip seemed to fokus on Alexander the Great (mah hero!) and on the anchient Coptic Christian monasteries of Egypt (another great love) and on visiting Huzband’s Mom (hmmmmmmm). I haz many stories of adventures in Egypt….this trip and others….. On this trip, my huzband had to pull me away from a lowd argument wid a couple idiot young guys who be harassing young woman; I be telling dem to knock it off; huzband be pulling me away by arm, saying that MY konduct kould get ME arrested (NOT the idiot guys’!!!!!); also snorkled in da Red Sea; also saw dozens of Russian tourists’ asses - male and female - as they be weaing thongs (yes, male thongs too) at da Red Sea. And the kitteh I fell in love with…..
Anshunt histori be funnnnnn!!!! I’ve got tunns of books on ancient languages like Akkadian, runic and Heiroglyphics, an’ am reading up on the Archimedes Palimpset. Dis stuff be the katnip of life!!!!
