I made a batch of Biscotti ai noci (Walnut Biscotti) yesterday and thot someone in Cheezland mite want to trite.
2 3/4 cups All Purp flour
2 cups sugar (or less)
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs
3 egg yolks
3 Tablespoons Nocello (walnut liqueur)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1) Preheat oven 350
2) In large bowl mix flour sugar and baking powder - in medium bowl whisk eggs, yolks and liqueur. Add wet to dry and stir just until dough comes together about one minute (try not to overwork). Add nutz and mix until just incorporated.
3) Divide dough in half on lightly floured board and shape or roll into 2 loaves about 12″ by 2″ each. place loaves on baking sheet at leadt 2″ apart (parchment paper helps - nawt required.) Pat into half moon shape.
4) Bake ’till light golden brown - at least 20 min maybe up to 30 min (depends on yer oven) Remove and let cool 5 - 10 mins and turn oven down to 300.
5) When cool enough to handle but not cold slice loaves on diagonal into 3/4 inch thick slices (about 10 or 12 per loaf) and put them back on baking sheet cut side down and bake for another 20 minutes or more depending on how good your teeth are. Cool onna rack, schoff like a gavone.

If you don’t have Nocello don’t buy it unless you either love it, have money to burn, and/or want a liter of walnut liquer in the cupboard for the rest of yer life. Use Frangelico or Amaretto or wutever flavored liqueur you want (although I’d stick with nut based ligueurs, rum works, B&B might be good or 43 could be tasty). The alcohol cooks off so these are safe for children. These are quite rich and sweet, if you prefer you can cut the sugar in half and eliminate the egg yolks. You can also change the nuts, pistachios or hazlenuts, are common, puhcahns might be good, I can think of nothing that isn’t better with maccadamias. You can also add choklit chips and/or add cocoa powder to the flour (add 1 tsp vanilla if you do). Of course after they’ve cooled you can dunk them (or lay one side) in melted choklit. Serve with strong coffee, or with a small glass of vin santo in the afternoon or wiff tea if you must (they are axually dern gud just dunked in milk). They can be stored for weeks at room temp in a platic bag or for several lifetimes in the freezer.
