Winesaps is berry nyce apples but muh favorites is Macouns. Mutsu also good and it hard to beat plain ole Cortlands. I makes muh own aplsauce and I usually use the blend of windfall apples that teh local orchard sells cheap. Muh mudder wus here las October and we visit the orchard and picks some. I strats the applesawse when we git home and she gits hepfull. GRRRR! How does I keeps these wimmens outta muh kitchen? She added 2 cups sugar before I kood stop her. She lykes it sweet.

Mi grmma used to bake big batch ob pullaa ebery week…so always the aroma ob cardanom in da air. Always made enough so a braid (loafs were braided) woud go stale. Den yu slice it, spread melted butter on da slices n sprikel wit cinnamin sugar. Put in low oben till dry. Dat is korppuja, for dunkin in kafe. Much light dan biksotti.

Iffen you use a veg peeler (lyk the wun fer spuds or carrots) and peel the zests offen about sebben to ten lemons and soak they peels inna large bottle of vokka for about a mumf den adds some sugar or hunney to taste, dats lemoncello made easy. It will make you happy. Some folks prefer to sweeten wiff simple syrup, is OK but it makes klowdy and dilutes the result.
