Fankyoo Janet, yes I lubs hims forebber an I noes we had gud times togebber. He wuz old and had bad hart and tho teh rest of hims wuz fit enuff hiz hart wuz not. But I wuz there for him (middul of teh nite) and am vewy grateful that he did not haf to be alone. Wuz not fun and we had to get teh nice vet out of his warm bed, but wuz best for teh Baggy boy. Teh roses are a lovely idea- when we aer out of teh apartment, and have a place of our own (and lots of kittehs and goggies and ratties and other animinals!) I will find a rose bush for Cam. Thank you so much for the idea!

A little tortie point seal meezer girl, bout 6 wks, was found in someone’s basement. They told the rescue org, they did not even know she was there? They put her up for doption, half-price, as “special needs,” due to PTSD. She was scawed of EBBRYONE! The fosterer worked very hard with her, but two weeks later, she was still scared.
So, my DH saw her at PetCo, brought her home, and she was tewwified. She hid under the bed wif my ailing older boy (who is a bit better now), all day. After all, there are 3 young kids, and a booming large husband, and 4 cats, in my little house.
But, gradually, she warmed up. We began catching her sleeping on our bed, with the other cats. Then she began sleeping on our bed with us in it! That took about a month.
She started to let me pat her … and would absolutely fall over, bliss out under my hand, then jump up in a panic and run away … then come back … a little sooner, each time.
It has now been 8 months. She is super affectionate with even the nosiest of my kids, will sit on the couch to cuddle, and even lets DH pat her! She is still fwightened when he is walking (someone big and booming must have chased her). She lies under the covers next to me for long periods, at night, purring and purring. Sweet little thang.

Alls the dogs and cats in mah life (and I haz lost count) haz been eether from turning up at mah door askin to come in, or from the SPCA. Right now, I’m at an all-time low on animals, and plans to go to da SPCA when I gets back from a trip in May.

In early February I adopted a shelter dog. The place I adopter her from was like Dog Jail; they didn’t even giver her basic shots or worm her until I adopted her. There was no vet on staff.
She is part shepherd and part husky. What a sweet girl! I swear, they know when you’ve rescued them, and their gratitude is palpable.
The evening of February 22, she was very restless & uninterested in dinner. At 7:30 the real fun began — by 2:00 in the morning, she’d delivered 8 puppies. I swear I did NOT know she was pregnant!
Mom & bebbehs are well & healthy. The pups will be available for adoption April 18.

My first kitteh was from my sisteh, hu kouldn’t keep her n e more. She iz 16 years old now and feroshus as eva (she’s at teh top of teh kitteh totem pole). But she is colorful and luvz to play.
My tuxedo kitteh wuz a stray foun by an old man. She wuz about a yeer old, and my littel sister wanted a kitten. Dis old man said he had a kitten (well, she wuz too big to be a kitteh, but y’know) that he kouldn’t keep cuz hiz hows not saef (mean kitteh and big goggiez). Da poor old guy wuz so sad to give tuxedo kitteh up, he cried.
My oldezt cat still beets her up on raer occashuns, but tuxedo kitteh learnz how to hied (behind one of teh family memberz, heh). We luvz her, and she is happy for most of teh time (I luvz her very much). She wuz skared wen we first had her (she hid in the laundry room at first), then she hid under mah sistah’s bed all teh tiem, and after a few years she haz no feer of n e one and sleepz on every thing and every 1.
Owr latest kitteh was outside owr houze. She wuz so dirty and skinny I couldn’t tell she wuz a kitteh. My oldezt cat had her cornered (she’z old and tough, but we all luv her n e wayz), and my sisteh wanted to see what it wuz. Wuz a scared kitten! My sisteh picked kitten up, and the first thing she did was ‘MEOW’ crokily and press her hed against my sistah’s face. Som 1 abandoned her and she found her way heer.
She kould not even stand up n e more. Meen ppl. We fed her and she got fat and happy. To dis day (1 1/2 yearz lateh), she luvs my little sisteh for saving her lief. My sisteh picks her up, and the first thing kitteh duz is press her head against her face, just liek teh first time.
