The world gets smaller all the tyme. Germany was so beautiful. When I lived there, it was like being homesick for a place I’d never been, if that makes any sense at all. I was enchanted with everything. They had dumpsters for recycling paper, plastic, and glass, and I remember thinking “What a great idea, but that would never work back home.” This was in the early 80’s.

It wuz beyootifull indeed! Ai dint get out into town mush cuz our twinses wuz borned (in Wurzburg) jus a fyoo munfs after we gots dere. Dat gave us 3 kidz unner 4, so ai wuz home most of teh tiem. Dere wuz a wunnerful restaurant in neerbye Geldersheim (furgets teh naem tho) dat had teh bes Chateaubriand ai has eber eeted. Dere wuz also a wunnerful dress shop in downtown Schweinfurt called Linek’s, wear ai bought sevral byootiful outfits an a evnin gown.

Teh Volksfestplatz wuz berry close to teh housing area, so ebery spring we enjoyded teh festivls. An teh soccer gaems at Willy Sachs Stadium wuz lots uv fun, too (but berry, berry cold!) Mai hubbee wuz attached to an Armor battalion (3/64). Dose free yeerz wuz jus grate!

Kept mee prittee bizzy!!!
