Sebrel yeers ago dey started makin D4s wif de littel poynts on de ends cut off. Dey still hurted if’n yu stepped on dem, but got less blud on de floor. De was fur wimps.
We called dem “caltrops, ” after teh cavalry-wrecking medieval devyce of teh same name, and foar teh same reason.
