i think it’s all being blown out of proportion. i think all of us here are smart enough to discern someone’s intentions when they use certain words. why send out the pc police all the time? i understand u may have bad experiences with people using harsh words, but save the speech for people who need to hear it, not people making innocent comments that had no ill intent. i wish you and your children the best, and hope their accomidations serve them well (my school didn’t do it right). and BTW i’d never set foot in starbucks, if i had that much money to waste i’d waste it on something much better. Anonymous doesn’t warrant quotes, it’s just a screen name on the fly.

hmmmm….well…. hai, anominomi-mous…. lolspeek awrf…

Since my children all recieve some kind of accomodations to enable them to access curriculum, and 2 of them happen to have a diagnosis of ADHD, then I consider them to be serviced by the special ed department. BTW – they also have IQ’s higher than their peers: it’s a hallmark of ADHD.

I’m very glad that you aren’t offended by ‘tard’ (which, isn’t really a word, BTW); I’m not sure there is any variation beyond that, but – you probably know more than I do about it. I for one don’t want my children to think that it’s an ‘okay’ word to use, and personally, I think that anyone with an above-average IQ could probably come up with a better word. But, that’s just my opinion.

You don’t need to have more than an average IQ to see humor in our situation. But, if it’s not your cup of tea, you’re welcome to go to Starbucks and be ‘anonymous’ somewhere else.

wow, u consider ADD being special ed? that’s pretty sick, and unfortunate. i have ADD and an IQ higher than most my peers. i’m at least intelligent enough to not be offended at the word ‘tard’ or any variation thereof.

awwwwwwman, Jinxie! That forehead zit never let me down on picture day! I think 7th grade photo was the one where the photograper said “You probably love David Cassidy, don’t you?” I went “ewwww” and then smiled and I swear its the best photo ever of me (in spite of the humungous zit) The zits were always exactly centered too, on the forehead, on the tip of the nose, on the middle of the chin.
