Tiger belly snorgles are the best. Long, soft hair. More coarse in the winter, softer in the summer. More coarse on the back, softer on the belly. Warm and smells good. (Kind of musky but very, very tiger.) It’s my favorite thing, snorgling tigers.
So…tell how it is you get to snuggle tigers!

I volunteer at Bear Creek. We have about 115 animals, 17 of them are Siberian tigers. I’m also the webmaster and one of the official photographers. It’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done, I’ve been there about 4 years. There are photographs of all of our animals on the site, and a few of me scattered through. One on Woody’s page, I think. You’re quite welcome and thanks muchas. I will snorgle and floof all the big kittehs (the safe ones) tomorrow for everyone. Yes, that’s me with Woody. He’s a SWEETHEART! (But we are very, very careful with all of our big guys.) Kamen, the snow baby, is 16 months old now and weighs about 250 pounds. (We don’t play with him any more!)
We don’t pay much attention to the trolls, we know that we take the best care of our animals. Most of them were taken away from people who thought they’d make good pets. They DON’T! They love us but are still wild and can be very dangerous, especially if they don’t know you and don’t trust you. And I can’t even *begin* to tell everyone what a BAD idea it is to tease a tiger.
So everyone, don’t have exotic pets! Go love the ones at your local zoo or sanctuary. They will love you back for it.

I had one kitteh long ago that I would often find laying on top of an open door. (yes, the two inch thick part). Door was 6′8″ – don’t know if kitteh used door knob as “step” (?????). But if kitteh stands what – 12″? at shoulder, and can jump almost 7 times that height – how high could a BIG cat jump.
Another kitteh – who died a few months ago (sniff, sniff – he was my Best Cat) – could easily jump to the top of interior ornamental doors that were 6 ft high. I watched him do it several times (and they be ‘wrought iron, wid lots of openings that kitteh could walk through. Kitteh just enjoyed taking the “hard” way).

SOmeone on Staten Island had a pet wolf tied up to a dog house. Surprise! It killed a two-year-old playing near it. A little kid would look an awful lot like some sort of prey, crawling around the wolf. Poor animal was probably half crazed from being tied up and alone most of the time (a pack animal…needs companions) to boot.
Is it legal to keep a pet wolf? Dat wud be krool in itself, IMO.

This is a show that Dreamworld put on every day in Queensland. They have a number of tigers who get rewarded with meat. The keepers throw the meat in the air. When we were last there, the two young tigers willingly jumped up, but the oldest tiger wasn’t going to waste energy jumping up when he knew that what goes up must come down!
I doubts it. Fer one thing, tigggers don’t waste enerji wif high jumps to catch little hoomin. If he wuz srsly attacking zookeeppeep, wud be much mowr direkt about it.

I wonder if this picture is from Tiger Island in Australia. I know the keepers there work with the tigers a lot, and spend a lot of time playing with them and walking them around the park to keep them socialized.

I looked iat up on internet, andit sounds fabulous! To bad for me that Australia is so far away from Brooklyn, NY. It sounds like a wonderful program and tigers have a great time. Zoos have come such a long way from iron bars and concrete cages in which animals have nothing to do but pace back and forth and go crazy.
