Best was three baby cats that showed up in woodpile. Loved them sooo much. Had for 5 years, and … well, they were good years. Would do it again, despite sometimes having not happy endings..,

forgotted a good part. her name is Hope, because when the VET TEC asked what to name her, my mom said “I think we could all use a little Hope right now”.

and it started to lightly snow when we buried her. gentle, like she was.

tank you anny. I do has other kittehs, dank God. I dun know what I wud doo wifout dem. I acktually have 6 others, all rescues. I could fill up dis whole page wif dere stories. but maybe jus a little of Hope’s story.
(also lolspeak brekdown!)
She was brought to my mom (a vet) the day after 9/11, having been kicked in the face. She was a stray, and someone found her all injured, and brought her in to end her suffering. My mom had the euth. solution all drawn up, and kitten started to purr. Mom couldn’t do it, and they just did some basic care. She was ours from then on. She was always a little shy and snorky, after havin been kicked in da face by a horrible person, but she was the sweetest kitteh dere ever was. She was only 6 when she died last week. She went in to have her teeth cleaned, and she crashed on the table. It turns out she had a tumor in her chest that was causing her lungs to deteriorate. We knew we couldn’t let her suffer anymore, I just thank God we were there, and could help her go.
I too, keep looking for her little face. I keep thinking I see her, then I realize its some other kitteh. Even with 6 kittehs still, sometimes the house feels empty without her.

but you’re right. it is gettin easier, and the happy memories come, and I can talk about her now wifout crying. for the most part.

Newsprint waz abandoned when her owner wnt intu nursing home an Printie craid all nite owtsied der hows. I went owt to luk , sounded like a hyoomin child. Awl otter naybours had goggies or dint want to noes, so I took deeep breff and started feeding her; Inew nuffin bout kittehs but had seen her an we had nodding relationship,so I thot K heer goes. An I fell in love.
Mister came looking for awl the gooshyfud Printie waz too picky to eat. Starvation overcame terror. He still eats liek he is determined never to starve agen.

Silky lived in a scrap car in someone’s back yard (oops lolspeak brakedown) an she wud cum owt an DANSS (srly) so peeps wud feed her. Then teh car waz towed awai…

Jester appeared, strutting but starving and my hart and catflap juss opened…

I saw this photo on various news sites a few months ago. I don’t remember the specific details, just the touching part of the story. That’s not a slum behind her, it is the rubble left after a natural disaster. The woman lost everything, but she had just found her kitten when the photographer took the picture.

At firs she jus rub her faice agenst me, then she thot “Hmm, Hyoomins do sumthing wif teh fron of ther faycel et me trai.” An so she wood press her littel wet nose agenst mah face. It was 1/2 wunnerful 1/2 pleh, I put up wif it cos I new it was luv. An noaw I wud giv nething for her to do it.
