Sorry folks, but I find this a MOST horrendous pic. Showing an obligate carnivore being forced to subsist on a junk food diet is not funny. Has nobody learned anything from “Supersize Me”? Convenience foods are not only KILLERS of humans, but our much-loved companion carnivores as well. Dogs, cats and ferrets are all carnivores and deserve the best diet…that which they have evolved to thrive on… a diet of suitably sized whole prey and/or parts of suitably sized prey such as raw chicken on the bone with occasional offal. Why don’t you buy a copy of “Raw Meaty Bones” and read how you are being manipulated by the enormous fast food giants?
To add insult to injury, this site has recently added 2 submissions on the voting page that relate raw feeding to salmonella! Join one (or more) of the Yahoo raw feeding groups and find out why this is a non-issue.
I know that most of the regulars here do not approve of a serious post, but I think that is simply “dumbing down” the site. Yes, it’s fun to have fun, but let’s not forget the contribution that the pets and other animals on this site have on our well-being. Surely they deserve the best and not what is convenient to their carers.
