I havd 2 go 2 teh merjinsee room fr Xrays en eye tests en dey sed “nuffin broke, but didyu no u hav teh farsytid?” So a cuppl weeks laytr I gettid glassiz. I fownd owt yeerz layter dat mom dident go upstayrz wen I skreemd acuz she thot I wuz fytin wif mai sistr. Den mai dad kaym owtta teh playroom en sed “Y teenie skreemin?” en mom sed “fytin wif sis” en dad said “OHNOES, sis iz in playroom wif me!!!” den dey al went upstayrz likkity split!

Chewly, I completely agree. When I brought him home, I promised to take care of him. He’s more than taken care of me since I got him, and now it’s my turn. There’s no other option for me. I wish you the best with your kitteh, too. They can be expensive, but they are sooo worth it.

I don’t mind the bills, no matter what they may be. This cat has gotten me through many medical problems over the past decade. When I had shoulder issues, he used to lay across my shoulder and purr for hours on end trying to take the pain away. He knows when I am in pain or unhappy, and he’s always right there for me. I would spend any amount of money I had to in order to make him feel better. I promised him the day I found him in my grandma’s woodshed that he would always be taken care of. Thank you so much for all of the advice about the water and food. The vet hasn’t told me any of that yet, and this way I can go ahead and find the water thing tomorrow before he comes home. He will also have a litter box upstairs for a while until he’s able to go up and down the stairs again.

I recently spent about $1200 on my 15-year-old cat when she got sick. she also has a little growth on her chest that the vet wants to remove, plus she needs her teeth cleaned, and that’ll be another $480. so… I totally understand. unfortunately.

and I had a diabetic cat for 5 years who needed insulin twice a day.

fur children are no less deserving of their lives than smelly human children.:)

i know the vet bills for this kind of problem can be high, but if treated, the prognosis is really excellent. He should be able to live a normal life afterwards.

The PU’s will get over it. It is an investment in joy.
