About a month ago elfinugget posted about going to Pet supermarket on her birfday and buying mowsie toyz for teh dopshun kittehs and how she and her frenz had teh big funz watching teh kittehs enjoy teh mowsie toyz. Many of us said “how funz! I must do that on mah birfday too!”
Mah birfday was several weeks ago but I finally had a opportunity to give birfday mowsies to teh dopshun kittehs at mah local PetSMRT last night. I had dinners wif a fren and afterwurds I said, “does u mind if we stops at PetSMRT?” He didn’t mind but I didn’t tell him what I wanted there. I buyed a big bag of ’ssorted mowsies. I axed teh register lady if it was ok to give teh mowsies to teh dopshun kittehs. She looked surprized but said “Yes u can. How nice!” Mah fren had thought we was gonna leeve until then and he looked surprized too. We went to see the dopshun kittehs and handed out mowsies. Most of teh kittehs was nappin and they already had some toyz in their cages but most of them waked up and played wif their new mowsies. One cage had twin orinj stripey marmylade kittens and i gived them each a mowsie but they both played with teh same one. There was a older-kitten tuckseedo kitteh that was fraid of teh mowsie at first but then played wif it. Then there was a gray floofyboi who was moar interested in playin wif mah fingers than wif his mowsie. Sharp pointy ends! But if I had been looking to take home a kitteh I think he wudda been teh one.
Mah fren is ‘lergic to kittehs but he does ok wif mine usually. They is older and when he comes over they is moar interested in being petted than in playin. He was ok last night wif the dopshun kittehs in a enclosed space. He really had teh funz watchin all teh kittehs play. That was a unexpected bonus for me! When we was drivin home he started talking bout maybe he could get a kitteh someday.

I writed mah story in Notepad and was ready to post it but teh corm-on-teh-cob kitteh had 100 comments already so I checked back every once in a while for a new pic. I posted as soon I saw this one — it was just a happy acksident that mah messidge appeared where it did.

I bring toyz to the dopshun bunnies at dah shelter where mah bunbun iz from. Littel tings like cardbord toobz stuft wif hays and a raysun hid in dere - owrz uv funs for me AND bunbuns!
Teh shelter mah kittehs comed from is strict about teh kines of toyz u can donate. I gives them $$ donayshun every yeer in honor of all mah fambly’s pets (we all has at leest 2 critters).
U be doin a gud thing but U rite the rescus tath go to Petsmartz dey mostly small grups tehy allwayz needin teh muneez to feed teh kittehs. It’s hard to get nuff monees for em. tehy guts to hab teh shots, ana newtered, an kitteh litterz, an toys. Maybe we can make dis an anuwal birfday ting for awl the homess kittehs. I be gibben em sum teh end Nobember.
