I wish my cat would sit still for this, as it seems like a good way to get rid of shed fur – he’s a big medium-hair, 19#, about 3 1/2 feet nose to tail tip – but the vacuum is about the only thing I’ve noticed of which he is absolutely terrified. When I run the vacuum, he runs to the top of his ‘cat tower’ and doesn’t come down until I’ve put the vacuum away.

Have any of you folks ‘vacuum-trained’ a cat? Any helpful safety tips on the process?
