I’ve got a rescue Golden Retriever named Captain. He likes steaks. Tis a funny story sorta….got a sad part but the rest is good. He was a breeding goggie and his owner passed away…and the owners wifey (meanie) kenneled him and threw food at him when she felt like it. Fortunately Captain (that was his name before he was rescued) was rescued by an org outside of Sacramento that takes in GR’s and the like….poor Captain waited 4 months at the rescue cuz nobody wanted a 7 yo GR. We walked in after home visits and whatnot and said “we just want somebody who wants to go home.” They said “Bring out Captain!!!” and it was history there.

We iz a military family. Captain outranks the daddy When the daddy was gone to Afghanistan last year he kept the mama company and is her bestest friend. When the mama had to fly home to TX for a funeral (the daddy was still overseas) the mama cried all the way to the airport cuz she had to leave her bestest friend at boarding.

I lurve my puppy dog. he’s my baby And he likes steak, but he’ll take hotdogs, pizzas, and doublecheeseburgers NO ONIONS

yes, this i know, but he has a hard head! and when she wants to sleep is not time for the bath. he is a greedy pig!
all four of my kitties do the head butt. and they stuff their head under my hands while i type on keyboard. (i wont let them type no matter how much they beg.)

we haz bigg oranj kiddi himz named Milo from da movie- gascat saws movi mani years ago an wantd oranj kiddi.

Milo haz interestin story- gots him frm vet (sad part of himz lif, some stopie dumped him in dumpster, nice kidz heards him, dug himz out took himz to vet- himz lucky kiddi) anywho-
I wantd shor furs kiddi, tired of alwaz vacumizing house wif da long furs. Milo waz kuyot iddibiddi kiddi was shor furs tabbi wif cupla long white furs. I asked vet “himz gonna be shor furs kiddi? Vet said “yes, or medium furs at the most”. Dat was tru for 9 mufs den FLOOF! All of a sudden I haz Purrshun Oranj tabbi kiddi! himz got da mos an da longest furs of any kiddi I eber hab!

Both are rescues. Charlie was two when I got him. He and his litter-mate Norvis had reached their full tom-cat growth before they were rescued and subsequently neutered. I had them for 2 months when Norvis died suddenly. The autopsy showed he had a cardiac birth defect (he was most likely the runt of his littler). Charlie was so close to Norvis that I couldn’t bear thinking of him being by himself. After a short search I found Socks. He and his litter-mates had been rescued by a San Jose couple who were looking to place them. Socks was the same age, about the same size as Charlie and of similar temperament, so we tried a trial run. After hiding under my bed for half a Saturday, Socks decided to be brave and explore the apartment. Charlie didn’t bother him at all. By the end of the day, they were sitting in the cat tree by the window making *gik gik* noises at the birds.

The three of us have been together for two years now. I’m so lucky!
