sorry for no lolspeak… my twenty pound cat has chronic cystitis from eating solely dry food for so long. I had to give him meds for a month and I am now the proud bearer of fifteen scars, each more terrifying than the one before. Ever feel teeth grating across your finger bones? No amount of meditation or calming techniques have worked on him; he will not allow us to pick him up anymore. Two handed pettings are a no-no, no matter what the situation now, and it’s been over a year since we stopped medicating him. I’m glad your cats were so well adjusted! You are lucky. Some cats just defy reason…
nao. bak to teh lolspeakz. pillz in da gushifoods dont workz for my Anubis, and gettin close enuf to gib liquids is dangerous pro..pra…porp…suggestin becuz he starts fightin as soon as he’s approached. I haz the scarz and da memoriz ob da bonescraping feelinz to attest to dat!!

please understand, their stress is caused by picking up on your stress, even when you’re not aware of it.
try meditations and do deep breathing before you go. if you are calm, your animals are calm. if you exhude quiet confidence, they figure everything’s fine and they stress less.
of course that isn’t possible in an emergency situation, but for taking them to get shots, it’s good to focus on remaining calm. it really helps. it takes practice and patience, but it works.
of course, if you have a talker, then you will hear about it, anyway.

mommy of 3 1/2 cats. 2 tamed field cats, one rescue mission cat and the 1/2 cat, which is half the size of the other cats, 3 times as old as them, quick and bright as a cat 15 years her junior, and not ours. but we are hers, she’s decided so.

yu shud get nice fuffy kiddy, ones dat fits in yur arms and snorgles an purrs. gets older kiddy frum shelter, deh is sooo full of luvs and deh is much harda to place den bebby kiddy. – I volunteers at shelder once.
go to shelder (petsmart ones are frum shelder but-) gud shelder has lots of kiddies. Ours hads sebral big rooms, you sits down and see who cums runnin an snorgles you.- dat be da kiddie who been waitn for you.
