I (and I think bubbyscranky, did too) thought that the original pic referred to some other reference, like a movie or video game. You know, something obvious to everyone else that we just weren’t “getting.” Don’t know why, but the search box didn’t work for me earlier. Does now, of course. Seems like my link got eaten though.

(seriously, how’d it get so floofy? Is partial shave job?. photoshop?..I happy to take jeers and jabs from the ket xperts…as i gots no time to do research at the momento)
partly breed charachteristics - an undercoat to keep out the cold and wet plus a longer sleaker overcoat. The undercoat is naturally floofy. When the cat is bathed, afterwards they are dried with a forced air dryer which helps the coat stand out even more. Then, I suspect this cat was brushed right before the pic was snapped. My Sabre looked like this right after he was brushed, but then he would give this all body shake wiggle thing that laid the coat down. Then he would snicker at me. I didn’t have a dryer, and would towel him off. When he shook the water off his coat cat hair would fliy everywhere, then stick because it was wet. I not only had cat hair on the couch and carpet, I had it stuck to the wall, the ceiling, and especially the windows.
