Oh deerz. Wen I wuz a liddle kitteh, my mommie had a partee. She maded a salmon moose (a whole moose???!), and putted it on da kounter. Natasha, wun ov r kittehs, seed it and jumped on da kounter and nom nom nom!
Mommie thinks fast. Mommie takes spatuler and re-shapes the moose to hide the nom nommed part, and serves it to the partee. No one new but me! (and Natasha)

O hai. I’m quite new, too. So I’ll explain a little. More experienced hands can take up the slack!First, did you read, in the right hand column “Welcome to ICHC” teh lolwerdz and cheezwerdz. That would help a little. I lurked about for months before I had the nerve to write – but it’s lots of fun – and everyone is VERY nice.

Anyone can comment – and reply to a comment. Often hilarious, completely off topic threads get going. You never know where any one comment is going to end up.

The speech (lolspeak aka kitteh speak) is – what cats would say if they could speak. And we assume that they don’t spell very well. Add to it computer user shortcut speak. Just take a few weeks off, go back and read everything from the beginning, and you’ll have the hang of it in no time.

But you may also write in English, until you feel more comfortable in lolcat. Everyone here understands English, too. And many speak it quite well.

You vote on how much you like the pictures using the voting burgers. Click on the last burger on the right – for a five – best rating. Last one of the left is 1 – if you didn’t much care for it. Same for the comments.

But be careful not to be like a troll. Sometimes, you can tell when a troll has been going through, because they go and vote just 1 for everything, no matter how funny, which of course gives unfair funny ratings. Most people here don’t ever vote so low unless something is really outrageously awful, because – it seems to me, anyway, that pretty much everyone here thinks everyone else is quite funny and likes everyone as well. Some people are very briliant, and we all look forward to see what they are writing.

And it’s great fun to (is parody what I mean?) to use a reference to something or someone or even an earlier picture or comment. The first one to “get” it jumps in and names it. Some are (to me, any way) VERY obscure. But my knowledge of pop culture is growing in leaps and bounds!

And feel free to ask questions at any time. Someone will be happy to tell you what’s going on.
