I lives in NYC, so I can’t set them free bc it’s illegal and also wouldn’t solve anything. I’d tewtally take ‘em out into the forest or sumthin if I could. Thx for the tip about the zappy traps. I also read somewhere that, as gross as it sounds, putting the trap w/ mousie in a sealed baggie (so’s they get high and pass out) is nicer than letting ‘em starve. I dunno. I feel all icky inside.

There is an even moar hoomane way to get rid of the lickle mousies. Promise!

There is a device which is about the size of a plug and plugs into any ordinary electrical plug socket. You can buy these devices from any pet store in UK (so you must be able to get them in US too) and on the internets. They work by emitting a very very high pitched noise which only the mousies can hear (does not bother humans, cats or dawgs, but does bother other rodent like creatures such as LOLhamsters, LOLgerbils etc) and the mousies **hate** the noise. It drives then away, so they not come back, and not poop in your stove no moar. You just plug the device in and it takes about 2 weeks for the mice to get the message that the noise is not going away and that they are not wanted, but they never bother you again after that.

I used this in my kitchen after many mousies had party in my kitchen when I went on holiday. Mousies all gone now.

Costs about £10 in England, I guess that is $20 US.

Elizabells: that is correct, is varee much moar humane. The zappy traps are teh awzum, my mom swears by them - there’s a little light that shows if it’s been set off… u just dump it out, no problem, and it’s very very humane, just stops their lil’ hearts and that’s that.

u could also get a pet snake… but nobody really likes that idea except me. Pet snake loose in the house is probably 100 times more effective than any mousetrap.

I like the snake idea too. I used to have a boa constrictor that I fed mice to. You could get a nice black snake or a fox snake and let them live in your couch springs.

we awlways lieked da big snayke idea, too–if fur no othfur reason dan fur all da unwanted hoomins it’d keep out (relatiffs and da liek), but we realized dat it CUD be a purroblem wif kittuns and othfur small cat-like critters…..

as it is, as much as i like a lot ob snakes, my furst pets were mousies, and i just can’t imajine habing to live-feed dem to a snakey….. and mouse-icles, well….
