Ai tuk mah kitteh Bucky 2 vet yesterday- he had 2 toofs eckstrackted.
(Ai inherited him frum elderlee naybor wut died, kitteh wuz awreddee 8 yrs old wen I gotz him, an his teefs not 2 gud.) Boy, did Bucky maek a lot uv noyz in car… and in wayting rum… an awl teh way bak home. Sinse he had 2 frunt teefs removed, he “Myow” very phunnee… liek he stikin his tung in gap where toofs wuz… it sownd like “Aglmarglmowgl luggle luggle myargle…”
He k 2day. Eetin lotz uv squish fud, gittin lotz of petz 4 beein gud dental payshint. (No LOLlipop, tho…

mai kitteh Calvin had most all teefs removed, had gums only for mushin de foods.
My mom’s old cat Marmalade had no teeth. He was fed smooshed up minced cooked turkey breast mixed with tuna (albacore if you please) heated slightly in the microwave. Good thing he wasn’t spoiled.

Many good thoughts to Lucy & carololz - we went through this back in January: PLEH!!!
Tumors are simple to remove. I work at a vet clinic, and I’ve seen a tumor taken out that weighed a whole pound. That thing was nasty.
But, Lucy will be fine. <3

Good for all of you who take your kitties to the vet!!!!!!! Especially for good dental care! Bad teeth play a major role in the development of kidney disease which is one of the most common causes of death in older kitties.
But don’t start the whole carrier thing again!!!

When your car isn’t moving, you mean, correct?
Surely she doesn’t sit on the peddles when the car is moving? If so, you are basically shooting a loaded gun into a crowd… maybe you hit, maybe you don’t.
Negligence, for which, if there were an accident, you would go to jail (just letting you and everyone else know the realities) — it’s a very cute picture, absolutely adorable.. assuming the car hasn’t started to move and WON’T start to move until the cat in the carrier.
There have been tens of thousands of accidents due to a cat getting under the peddles.. the person then has to either kill the cat to hit the brakes (heart breaking) or not - and risk killing innocent people including those in the car - not to mention all the others in the other car or cars.
DON’T DO THIS.

Koneko - do you have a pattern of extrapolating the worst case scenario for a given situation and then reacting hysterically, or is it just something you do on here? that recurring pattern of a rising, whirling tone of hysteria based in very little, where even though the facts are correct the emphasis is blown out of proportion in a display of logic beyond reason - that’s something you might want to have checked into

Even if what I said doesn’t go along with the general cuteness, it WILL stick out in a person’s mind, someone who like me 15 years ago, thought nothing of taking my cat to the vet in my arms - after all she was a very quiet kitty, never jumped around (yes but what happens when the cat gets startled and DOES jump?)

You are a rude one, Stend. I haven’t extrapolated anything. Someone else, as I recall, also mentioned the dangers of having a cat free in a vehicle - the only difference is that the other person put the comment into lolspeak with some allcaps, and I didn’t.
“Rising, whirling tone of hysteria” - not very well written, I have to admit I sort of laughed; you’re trying so hard to be so very insulting and utilizing your very best wordz to do it.
It is clear and ordinary logic to point out that a cat in a moving vehicle is a danger. That was one of my “whirling hysterias”
It is also clear and ordinary logic to understand that a cat which cannot clean itself is too heavy and that the extra weight will shorten the cat’s life.
Not sure what part of that you found to be “whirling hysteria” but you do seem to have a gift for picking out *only* those comments that aren’t about how totally cute something is, and zeroing in on the ones that make a point.
EVEN WHEN others make the same point.
And so - given that others make the same points as I have, what is your problem with me? The lack of lolspeak? Sorry, I’m new to it and while I think it is 90% cute and 10% over the top (Elfinugget does it exceedingly well, must others do also, some go over the top) I’m not proficient yet and so I prefer to avoid it until I feel secure - although I did try.
Moreover, when making a real point, the seriousness of the point is made in regular English to underscore that a point is being made.
In a world of pictures and cuteness, there will necessarily be instances where a point needs to be made.
I’m not sorry for making them - neither are, I believe, the others who made them also, who you don’t seem to be attacking.
