I have always favored black cats, but my best friend has the sweetest orange persian that just charms everyone. Humans need to butt out and not breed animals with potentially life threatening problems……mostlee, hoomin beans are stoopy (now you know why I am a hermit!!) LOL

I just has teh issue with teh kittehs dat has teh eyes liek a carp, or teh smooshyface, or teh nohairs, and with teh peeps who breeds dem to emphasize those characteristics, to the point u just want to go to dem “WTF is wrong wit u? Why is teh average kitteh not gud enuff foar u? Whut sort of calamity happen to u in ur childhood dat maek u think dis look gud?”

reseerch costs greenpapers, and it be da purebred groups what been able to fund it dat’s finding out stuff to hewp ALL cats wif heart and kidley problems, and wif da FeLV and da FIP…. so it not alwayz simpull.

I says YAY to teh rescyoor peeps, and even bigger YAYs to teh Foster-parent peeps. Cannot think about how hard it would be to bring teh fuzzy wuns into ur life knowing dat dey is gonna leeve soon.
I knows there are good, responsible breeders out there, and they work very hard at maintaining teh health and genetic integrity of the breeds. If you are a person who shows cats (or dogs) that’s one thing, but for the average family who just wants a pet, it is a shame that too often they think of a breeder first (or “pet” store) and not their local animal shelter.
One of mai local pet shoppes has teh adoption partnership with teh county shelter. Every Caturday dey brings in a few critterz from teh shelter and tries to get them happihomes. I wuz in dere a couple weeks ago, and had I not had teh allergeez, I wud have come home with a noo kitteh. She was tiny little thing–either only a few months old or runty-type. I could just tell from how she was acting that she had teh GRATE personality. She was white with teh gray smudges and very happi. Top-rate snorgle material…
