she be misbehavin’ an peein on meh stuffs and me(!) while I sleep(!) an I thank she jeeloos ov other kitteh but don no wot to do ’bout that. me luvs bof meh kittehs an even tho has evol blac kitteh since was bebe kitteh an other kitteh only adooptde rescue older kitteh, I’s DO NOT WANT to get rid, but can not wake up covered in kitteh pees again

Try dese dings for while, k? She be gettin better soon I dink.

Absolutelee…vet first….only time any of my kitties did anything like dis wuz because of infection……Also, yu have 2 cats??? When her nitetime isolation is done (and that is an excellent idea, btw)…try having 3 litter boxes….and clean them out often…mai daughter has a cat that will not use a litter box that any other cat has used!
All good advices. Also, self-cleaning litterbox, if u can afford one. Is not as self-cleaning as u mite like, but scoops itself after every use. Kittehs love fresh-scooped box. Nature’s Miracle is XLNT, leaves orange smell that kittehs hate, so won’t go back. May pee on nu places, tho.
Feliway costs lots, but makes kittehs happy, calm, no pee on stuff.
I uze to have 1 gurl kitteh and 2 boy kitteh, gurl kitteh WOUD NOT use same litterbox as boys. Mah sistr sayd, “What? Dey leavin teh seat up?

Now no londree baskit allowd in bedroom, kitteh pee in kittehbox. Win!
Anudder fing, I forgot, get book “Cat Vs. Cat” by Pam Johnson-Bennett. I buyd, yu cud get at liberry if yu wantz. Wil tel yu how tu help blak kitteh en nu kitteh b nyce.

anothfur ting to try wif retrayning to litter box be “cat attract” litter. it made by vet and gots kitty pheremones in it to make dem want to use box again–works in conjunkshun wif bafroom isolashun effury menshun. saved lives ob meny kittuns tossed out and ending up in resq fur not using boxes.
what effery says: rulle out medikal reasons furst. den use one ob da enzyme cleeners to remove as much stink as pawsible, and isolate/retrayn….. cat-attrakt litter can be dood eggstra weapon.
Clean your stuff with an enzyme cleaner like Simple Solution or the other one noted above–you can even add it to the washer. Isolation during the night in the bathroom is a good idea–go to a large crate (like dog crate training) if it continues–only letting kitty out to play.
I had this happen with one of my cats–she had intestinal cancer and would pee out of pain. I dealt with it as long as I could (meds for kitty, meds for me and lots of Simple Solution), then had to finally decide to release her from her pain. Get kitty checked at vet. I’ve had other cats that never peed on anything in their life, pee on something because they are getting older and losing dominance to younger cats. Only thing to do is reassure they are still #1 in your book.
You may also want to try alternating isolation–one night pee kitty in bathroom, another night good kitty, so each kitty has you to their self at night.
I had that happen once – turns out it was an urinary tract infection, had to switch kitty over to low ash food. take the cat to the vet now, if they become completely blocked it can be dangerous
I have a kitteh that gets uti’s. when he has them, he pees at the foot of my bed! That’s how he tells me he’s sick. Take to the vet first!
Feliway plug in thing fixed other kitteh from peeing in the corner and in the sink! Was lifesaver when we moved! Try it! I swear it works!
Ya, my firs kitteh (of my las batch o’ kittehs) wuz blak gurl, she gud grrl, but when noo kitteh comes, she HATE!!! growrelz, hissssters, swakts whenebber lil boi Willem comez by. Poor boi gets da complex almos, cep him lurves da mama ladee!

RC 1 time skwats next to box while I’m in potty, looks up at me and cries while peein out pink!!! OMG, kitteh gots booboo potty! I fix her up, dem she better feelin until bebeh Roscoe comes. Den she alla times growerel, swats, and hisssses at poor bebeh Roscoe, but he no care cuz WIllem and laser light are fun tois!
Den Roscoe get bigger, RC like him a bit better. Den WIllem start the hairball king demonstrayshuns. Sigh. Footlong felt hotdogs…. 3 times a day. Hairball food GIVES hairballs. Petromalt nice. Poor ol boi….
But yes, any potty breakings, new kittehs, whatevs, time for go in potty room all night alone. HArd, but necessaree!

also, you should consider covering the bed and anything else that she regularly marks with plastic when you’re away. it’s an unwelcoming surface AND keeps it cleaner if she still goes there.
you might start a play/cuddle schedule each. cats actually do fall into quite a regular routine, so she might appreciate an official playtime and recognize that as her special mommy/daddy (sorry, can’t tell from name) time.
i can’t remember the name of the FABULOUS stuff i bought (i don’t think it was nature’s miracle), but you just soak the carpet (or whatever) with it, let it dry, and it’s DONE. no stain, no smell, no nothin’. i got it at petsmart and it was in a blue bottle with yellow writing. i’ll look at it tonight and reply back tomorrow.

The thing is she use liiterbox regularly, but when jeeloos or mommy won’t wakes up to pet hers, she pees.
We’ve had “noo” kitthe (a calico) for 2 years or so, but blac kitteh only start peein’ on fambly whiles sleepin’ last winter, sayz ‘mommy daddy wakes up NOW!’ does a couple of times, we punish then she stop. still fites with calico kitteh, but no pees. Then couple weeks ago, calico kitteh runs way for three nights, blac kitteh very happy! Den calico kitteh comes back, blac kitteh sees mommy pet calico kittteh, immeadiately pees on couch. punish. two weeks laters (yesterday morning), pees on mommy in sleep again. complicated cat sycoloogys study.
I reeds book and gets spray, maybe halps.

I have been there! I have 6 cats and 2 hate each other. I don’t know what your living arrangements are, but if you can keep the cats separated, that will help for a while. The problem may have been caused by how the cats were introduced — the best way is to keep the new cat in a separate room for several days, then gradually introduce the two. The black kitten is peeing on you as a way of marking her territory – she feels threatened by the new cat. I’m not too sure if you can go back to re-introducing the cats, but its worth a try.
The problem probably also due to a problem of domination – the cat you’ve had since a kitten may now be with a cat that was a dominant cat in another environment. (That’s why kitten adoptions tend to work with older/existing cats. The kitten is automatically in a subordinate role because it is young.
2 other things that can help (a bit) cats mark territory by rubbing furniture and corners with the side of their mouths – there are glands there that deposit scent. Try rubbing the sides of one cat’s mouth and then immediately rub the sides of the mouth of the other cat. This transfers the scent and may help to “introduce” them to each other. (You may notice that lions and other cats often walk up to a group member and rub the side of their face against the side of the other — this is sharing a scent so that the animals recognize each other. — That’s what you are doing when you rub each cat’s face.
I hope this helps. I still have problems with 2 of my cats, and have just learned to live with keeping them separated. Not a good solution, however, if you have an apartment.
Finally (sorry to be long winded, but this is NOT a simple problem) the best you may get is that the cats share the same space but never interact. It would be nice if they were “friends”, but if you can get the two to tolerate each other and your first cat to stop marking you, that’s a good ending.
