lole lole, some dormmates of mine had a cockatiel that just HAD to eat whatever the people were eating. And if you have him a piece, oh no, that wasnt good enough, he wanted the piece that was on your fork on the way to your mouth. The best/worst time was when i was trying to have miso soup, and he kept climbing down my shoulder, into my lap to get at it. Id put him on the couch and hes just climb back up. He was a bird on a mission. So finally i let him perch on the bowl and have some. He loved it and ended up taking sip after sip, splashing it all the hell over the place and getting it all over his face.

I ate the rest of the soup anyway. >.> I was hungry and it was my last bowl of miso soup.

I had a cockatiel named Boyd, before the peachy. Poor bird sat in a dark apt. because of high AC bills, all the windows were on the West. I only had him for a couple of months and gave him to Pat, my S-I-Law, and he’s a perfect birdie for her. His first word, however, was “shut-up”. Yes, that was my contribution to his little birdie dictionary. Now he sneezes like his Pat, rings the phone, “need more birdseed!!”, “ho-ho-ho mewry chrisssmas” for thank you, wolf whistles and says “you so pretty” only when she naked (bird smart), screeches at my asshole (whoops did I type that outloud?) brother and tells him to “SHUT-UP” (I said bird smart), “sunshine in?” when curtains opened. Many more birdy things, Boyd is best friend to Pat.

There used to be a big bird here in a petstore. His name wuz Batman, and if you sang the “Batman” song to him he’d “dance”, and he’d tell you he didn’t have a cracker, and I can’t remember what else. But I used to go into that store and stand there forever talking to that bird. He got adopted and is still ok from what I hear.

Mah Eukie, him can scream my sister’s name in EXACTLY my mom’s voice… totally funny…. Him whistle and mumble to himself, is so cute. When I brought him snacks, I brought him a TLC granola bar and gave him a piece of it (about a cubic inch)… he ate it ALL and didn’t put ANY of it in his water… so sweet.

My mumma has little parrotlets and lovebirds too – she calls the little birds “binkybirds”, sometimes they’ll all get to screaming at once and Euc will yell “SHUDDUP BINKIES!!!” just like my mom…

He used to freak me out when I lived at home – he could make squeaky-door-and-floor noises in EXACTLY the right pattern so it sounded like someone was walking through the house when I was home alone. He rings like the telephone then answers himself and mumbles. Is vary cute.

Him an African Grey Timneh parrot, very smart. Him just turn 16 this year.

OMgosh I ♥ birders. I has a peachy named Raku. Yes, named after a bootiful pottery stylez. He’s my ‘birdman’. It’s said they don’t talk but him has learned to mimic me saying the word “Chirp”. When I’z in nother room he “chirp, chirp” to get me to respond. And then “tick, tick, tick”. HE tattles on his kitteh siblings when they’z naughty. I hear scream from the den, and I yell ” get off the ET center” and then I hear the responding “thunk”. ‘Cause kitteh was on top looking down on birdie houz. Rakubird looks up and see a puttitat- he scream.
