2. If someone’s going to go out and murder/eat somebody because of this site, they were going to do it anyway, they just needed an excuse and would’ve found it anywhere else anyway. See, I see these things, and I laugh because I know the movie references. You guys obviously don’t, or else horror/suspense isn’t your thing. Quit complaining about it and move on to something that DOES amuse you. If every single person in the world decided to have one thing that bothered them removed from the internet/movies/tv/videogames/books/comics/whatever, there’d be absolutely nothing left.

3. Someone sat there and forced your hand to click on your mouse, come to this page, and read each picture. Someone sat there and held your eyelids open so you couldn’t look away. Also, someone disabled the little X at the top of your browser screen, so you couldn’t leave this site. Someone disabled the address bar so you couldn’t type the name of a more ‘tasteful’ site in. Someone disabled the back buttom so you couldn’t go back to what you were doing. You should be more pissed at that person. Oh wait, nobody did those things, did they… you must’ve forgotten, you have a little thing called ‘free will’. I have a huge problem with people who go looking for things to be offended by. You saw the pics, didn’t like the captions, and you watched the video anyway? What’s wrong with you? Why would you do that to yourself? I have issues with things, too. Not this particular thing, which I find funny, but other things. You know what I do? I avoid them. And if I find myself becoming exposed to them by accident, I turn away or do my best to COPE with the issue. If you were uncomfortable, you should’ve left.

4. Why does anyone have to go out of their way to make sure they aren’t offending you? Do you do that for other people? If so, why? That would make for a very flat personality that is just as hard to get along with as someone who offends all the time.

parents SHOULD monitor what their kids do online, i know i was one of them, and if my mom knew the things i got into without her knowing? shed beat me w/ a stick.

AND i remember seeing pictures w/ the word “fuck” in the caption so people should NEVER assume anything on the internet is going to be rated G forever. if youre trying to avoid something you cant avoid it forever, and i think thats something we can ALL agree on.

things like this lead to websites requiring subscriptions to their sites first so that in the terms and conditions they can say whether or not they agree to possibly being subjected to images that may not be “clean” and im sorry but i dont want to have to tell my friends “hey theres this really cute picture of a cat doing something funny BUT you have to register first becuase people couldnt handle seeing pictures of situations or references they may not want to be exposed to, SORRY!”

but i do have to say, im sure that glorifying serial killers DOES help push someone who has those tendencies towards the “DO IT!” side of things, but at some point in time in that individual’s life someone failed to teach that person self control.

i have a deep interest in serial killers and id hate for all references to them to be oblitterated because some idiot couldnt control his/her urges.

But how are you supposed to avoid looking at it if you have no way to know it’s there until AFTER you’ve already seen it?

No one gives ratings to internet sites. ICHC doesn’t have a G rating because no online sites have ratings at all. You have to judge a site’s content by the site’s name and description, the links from other sites, stuff like that. And, by all those methods, this should be a site without links to videos re-enacting serial killings. You’re telling parents that they should watch what their kids do online, but how are parents supposed to know that a site that always had cute pictures of cats in the past is now going to link to a video about a serial killer?

So, you’re all in favor of openness and freedom of expression — except of course, when it doesn’t agree with you? And in that case, people have to shut up?

The pictures of the kittehs ARE cute, and the captions fit teh pictures. I can guarantee you that the pictures were not meant to bring up bad memories for anyone, and the majority of the comments here say that the pics were funneh.
