This happens when their baby necks and heads just won’t reach down into the dish. I feed the beensy cats out of jar lids. But they do skid, especially when they’re still learning, so a lot of pawage in the foodage happens anyhow.

They do get very attached to their meals — you can imagine, starting out by claiming a spigot on mom when everybody else wants one, too. The way a baby kitten scrabbles at the bottle with both front feet while sucking just gets me right there.

The Catburger, when him was behbeh, was determined to get on the table to see what was going on. So he jumped. “Y HALLOOOO THAR, WHATCHU …” *splot* He landed in a bowl of bean soup! (As my then-boyfriend was eating it.)

So I took the kittehburger to the sink and rinsed him off, and oh how he cried. Maybe this is where his love/hate obsession with beans came from? “Mommamommamomma, BEANZ, gimmeh!” “Pleh! Beanz! Do not want!”

My daughter had an adorable Italian greyhound (God rest his soul) who adored persimmons – we could not get them away from him if he found one in the yard – an otherwise perfect puppy got all toothy and growly over persimmons. There must be something really special in those things!

Harrigan (rip) would just sniff people food and then would make this dramatic hawking-up-his-toenails gag over it. He simply hated anything but kibble. And typing a normal email with correctly spelled wording is getting harder, too. I added “teh” to the spellcheck, UH, that was a mistake. I get kitty and puppy kisses and I sez”oh duh mommie haz flaver”. I found an extra bucket in teh shed- “oh look I foundz lolrus’ bukkit” and on. and on. I am so glads I lives alone. But I am proudz to lern nother language at almostz 50. Thinks I can get bi-lingual pay at work?

My kitteh, Sally, went insane for lettuce … but only romaine. I was tearing up said greens for a salad one day and she went wacko, giving me hell until I passed her a leaf. From then on, she got dark green lettuce regularly. Her sister, Diva, was an incredible pain in the patoot, food wise … she lived up to her name.

Kittehs are deh best … I miss mine (and my late puppehs, too … )

We had a little babykitty too. As big as a hand from nose to tailtip. When we bottle fed her she looked like she swallowed a tennisball, with her little legs not even touching the floor

When one of my long-ago kittehs was a teeny little fluff, my roomie-at-the-time and I brought her home from the shelter and we gave her a bowl of those itty-bitty kitten kibbles. We didn’t realize it was still too much for her little bitty teefes–she was only 5 or 6 wks old at the time–until Day 2, when Teh Hungry!!! apparently got to be too much for her. My roomie, who had recently converted to vegetarianism, had made some sort of casserole with rice, tofu, and mushroomsoup…she was sitting in the living room with a bowlful of it when allofasudden WHOOOOSH! came a little grey-and-white streak of floof, and landed with all four bebepaws planted in the roomie’s bowl. Bebekitteh put her head down and started SNORFING down the casserole–I mean, this put NOM NOM NOM to shame–all the while hissing and growling lest we attempt to remove her from her dinner. Little rice and tofu chunks were flying, and here’s this little wild-eyed bebekitteh, ankle-deep, with mushroom soup in her fur, getting DOWN with this casserole.

We knew she was gonna be a weird one, and she did not disappoint us. (I miss her. )
