ur Japanese is wrong….
“i love japan alot. though, i hate my job.” is “Nippon ga daisuki da kedo, shigoto ga kirai desu.”
(literally, “I really love Japan, but I hate work” ;) Ur Japanese could of worked, but it had mistakes: 1) cyo (not a word). Maybe you meant chou? or tyou? either could work. But it’s not really used, and I’m not sure it makes sense in sentence. 2) u had no particles=fail. it’s like trying to say “I love you” without the “you.” Doesn’t work. 3) Sa does not mean “but.” Saa means something along the lines of “I don’t know,” “I wonder,” “guess,” that sort of thing. 4) na. Fail. It’s “nai.” Or if you want to be more polite about it, “suki ja arimasen.” 5) “suki ja nai” means “don’t like”, not “hate.” “Kirai” means “hate.” Anyway, hope this helps. And no, I wasn’t trying to be offensive. I just wanted to give you the correct phrase, and let you know what you did wrong, so if you ever try again, you know what to do/not do. ^_^ BTW, pic is win! ^_^

a passer-by

technically speaking people can and do speak without particles…it just makes it more difficult to tell what they’re talking about if there are multiple subjects…and it’s not grammatically correct. but neither is “i can has cheezburger” ;)

i’ve never heard of the sound “tyou”, only “tou”; this person was probably trying for “cho” or “sho” or “kyo”, but most likely “cho” in an incorrect suffix, like “kotobuki-cho”, which is for a district when nihon is the whole island!

as a cultural note, and i could be wrong here, the negative form of “suki” is used a lot more than “kirai” when you hate something…because kirai is like deep soulful hate, just like “suki” is used more than “ai” because ai is deep, soulful love…

i think by putting “masculine” at the front of it, this person indicated they were using a sort of street japanese that is spoken with different ending particles between males and females…like he or she probably meant “nihon ga suki ze! kedo shigoto suki ja neeeee yo!” “ja nan” is kind of used too, if i recall

p.s. thank you margaret for spreading your knowledge! that’s the most important thing you can do with it =)

PlainJane: I don’t remember The Banana Man. I really only have dim memories of the Captain. I was a Mr. Peppermint grl. I got tons of teasing from classmates over “Shaun the Leprechaun”. It finally ended when I said,- about the time it was not cool to be still watching the show, too old for that, you know-”HOW would you know about S-T-L? Are you watching the show?”. Shut ‘em right up. Ahh, one of the joys of having a strange name as a child.

Shaun’s a great name! Kids can be such creeps, can’t they? Anyway, you missed out with The Banana Man … he was this hysterical clown who used to pull endless bananas out of his deep pockets and do this weird “Wooooooww, hehehe, ooooooo,” thing. Well … I guess you had to have been there! It loses something in the translation.

OMG … i brok deh Kittehspek Rule #1: Spek deh kitteh or risk eternl damnashun an bee banishd to Hoomanland 4evr. Noooooooo!!!!!!

kono neko wa totemo kawaii. Nihongo ga chotto machigaitte iru kamoshirenai kedo kono hito wa eigo mo kakemasen. Watashi ni totte wa, mondai nai desu.

translation:
This cat is very cute. The Japanese might be a bit wrong, but this person can’t write English either. In my opinion, it’s not a problem. ;)

teangeolai

To the people who posted before: “cho” or however you want to romanize it, is fine. It’s just a slang term for “a lot.” It’s a really casual form of “totemo.”

Jess

I can’t see the picture T_T
