See… I didn’t get that from Eragon. The movie I didn’t see, but everyone said it wuz lyk SOOO ztarwerz, but I sure didn’t get that from the book. Maybe the basic theme (awkward outcast kid becomes better than everyone else b/c he has secret gift / special powers / good soul / etc etc ) has been recycled a few times … but that’s a pretty common theme in those books, not overt plagiarism.

That book was also edited and edited and re-edited, I think possibly some of his most original stuff was probably edited out.

I haven’t gotten through Eldest yet, though… I have been too flaked to sit and read lately.
