It’s not cruel. What is cruel is to tie up the cat and to leave it there for long periods of time. Else, it’s just to keep the cat from maybe annoying guests.

I’m not sure how you can see this as cruel. Kitteh is just shaking her head to fast for the camera to catch it without blur. People who don’t understand basic photography and normal kitty movements should never make angry comments about lolcats.
