Actually, you FAIL History. Switzerland is the most famous neutral nation. Sweden was neutral in World War II, Switzerland has affirmed its neutrality since sometime back in the 1600’s. That’s why they have those Swiss banks there that everyone uses–no danger of losing your stash as war spoils. That’s also why the Nazis stashed all the art they stole there.

Seriously though, never give chocolate to a cat (or dog). It is toxic and will kill them even in small amounts.
Out of all the dogs my mother has owned over the years.. and how spoiled they were (Their treats were chocolate covered graham crackers).. I havent seen one die from complications due to chocolate eating..
I know its not good for them, its not really that great for anyone (aside from dark chocolate, it has antioxidants.and thats in moderation) but its not bad enough to be like “DONT LET THEM EAT IT! THEY’LL DIE!!”
I had a dog that ate chocolate sometimes, not that we fed it to him, but you know, animals get into shit they’re not supposed to, and unless you’re lucky enough to monitor your animals 24/7, they will eat things they’re not supposed to. then again my dog ate both nearly a whole christmas tree once while we were out, and once also a whole cobb of corn. we took the best care of him we could but you know, dogs and cats eat shit. sometimes literally.
I think anyone on here would hopefully know that chocolate is bad for cats and dogs, and I highly doubt this picture would put the idea in someone’s head.
I’ve been reading so many things that people are offended by on here, but regardless of anything I think this site is wonderful and in actuality it makes the idea of owning a cat that much more appealing. it shows off how much people love their animals, even if they find themselves in ridiculous situations. I am sure that the people who take these pictures are more responsible and loving owners than the jerks down the street who bring in cats and let them roam, not spaying o neutering them or anything.

i myself am cat fan. i’ll be moving soon..and hoping to get a kitten if the new land lady allows it. and i agree with you. owning cats is the best thing in life. they’re sweet and loving animals that will stick by their owner’s side no matter what.. they’re just as loyal as a dog. and in my opinion, i’d rather own a cat than a dog any day.

Chocolate is toxic to cats, but not to dogs (although the sugar and fat isn’t any better for the dogs than it is to humans).
actually the complete opposite, chocolate is much more dangerous for dogs than cats. Basically chocolate has a chemical in it, similar to caffine that dogs cannot process, so it builds up in their system and can cause damage. Enough chocolate to kill a dog is crazy though, however it is based on the type of chocolate and specifically the amount of cocoa solids. Milk chocolate must be eaten in huge quantities like 3 whole bars to hurt a small dog… where as 80% cocoa chocolate like very dark chocolate the number drops to about 1/2 a bar to hurt a small dog.
