Patriotism is not a crime, Cataran. The death penalty is intended as a punishment, not a deterrent. Certain heinous crimes mean the perpetrator has forfeited the right to get any older. You prefer a life sentence of hard labor? That’s akin to torture. France has the highest extremist Muslim population outside the middle east. England films its residents every moment and inch of their lives. Every country has its problems, and most feel they are the best alternative or those with means move. usually to the United States.

why is it that people have problums with americans? we do nothing wrong,

ratio of overwait people in england, that there is in america. the only reason

You shouldn’t be proud of your country’s weight. That doesn’t make any sense; weight is not a virtue, skill, or desired trait. I’m not saying that being skinny and/or starving is a trait either.

Another note: that’s the thing about a fattest country; the country itself is not fat; there are just numbers of fat and skinny people. Just as there is not a .4 of a child for the average 2.4 children/family, a country does not have a weight: a country does not have health, or a BMI, or even a body. Because of this, whether you use percentages or raw numbers is irrelevant and can be chosen arbitrary.

Also, even if there are a lot of fat people in America (there are less fat people than many think, and many of those fat people are much less visibly slobs), so what? Does that mean you have to rub it in the faces of the skinny/healthy people during every photo shoot/news cast/cartoon/opportunity you get?!

Lastly, if you define a country by the health of a few of it’s members, something is very wrong with your train of thinking: America was not founded on the idea of being fat or skinny or healthy; it was all about freedom. To define America by certain Americans is sick and wrong, and no one notices.

I don’t know why everyone has something against fat people? I’m not fat but I think that if your country is a very fat one, then you should be proud. At least I’m not a starving ethiopian child. I would rather have americans dying of heart attacks from being fat and happy then dying of starvation from having no food. Also, if you have more people than other countries, then of course there are going to be more of one type. So percentages do count in the long run. That leaves less than 1,000 people from Nauru who are skinny and yet over 10,000 americans who are skinny. So technically your response = EPIC FAIL! jk, I’m just saying, if percentages don’t mean shit, then what does?

Uhh..? Stereotypes all exist from some base which is an observation of a recurring theme, be it action, reaction, or something about how a group is physically. I’m American and not fat, but I can accept that the majority of Americans are. People shouldn’t be flamed because they allude to something that is true. Also, to me at least, and I’m not saying anyone should agree as this is just my opinion, it does not seem as though the caption is meant to be hurtful or to shame anyone or as a snipe. It’s a joke. No need to be so sensitive!

I KNOW this picture is photoshopped, even so, really fat cats are extra cute. Mine’s a little on the chubby side and …dude. I can make so many lolcat pictures with pictures of my baby kitty <3

Stop complaining about the stereotype. I walk around town and I see atleast 20 obese people on my way to walmart and back and that’s not even very far.
Myself is pretty much a chub, because I’m lazy and excersize makes my heart wanna asplode.
The ’stereotype’ is definately true, this is the most overweight country EVER. =O the country I was born in doesn’t have very many overweight people…. Just a whole buncha fat soldiers. (Gah lololololol…I laughed so hard when I heard about that!!)

I understand that every country has stereotypes, it’s just the american stereotypes are especially offensive these days. It seems to me I’d rather people assumed I walked around with a top hat eating tea and crumpets than they assume I’m fat, stupid, and have no culture. I wouldn’t have a problem with this caption (and I don’t, really) if it weren’t for the fact that I’ve been hearing a lot of american bashing lately. I mean an incredible amount, and not everyone is joking about it. I was on a blog post featuring pictures of money, and the guy writing said he didn’t know who all of the people (on the bills) were in the the pictures. All the comments on the post were about how he’s a stupid typical american who didn’t know who was on their own money. Nobody seemed to notice that he wasn’t american- not even in the western hemisphere. They were too eager to laugh at another stupid american. If *I’m* getting sick of american bashing (when I’ve been known to do a little myself), you can expect there’s probably a lot of people out there who are getting more than sick of it. Just my take, sorry for the epic comment.

Also, I think the kitty ate two other kitties, and that makes me sad. All that cuteness inside, and no way to get out.
