Ok, first why would you show 6 or 7 year olds this anyway if it clearly states that it is PG13. At least it bloody warns you.

Imagine if all sites like this one was “kid friendly” it would be bloody boring. Are us grown ups not allowed a bit of fun? And all because of one word too.

Thank god it wasn’t a swear word! Why do people not read anymore?

If it clearly states PG13 then you have to at least expect something like that to pop up. I was expecting lots worse to be honest!

Also, what exactly are you teaching these kids by coming on here? Bad grammar?

If people don’t learn about these things when they are younger the more likely we are going to have teenage pregnancys and the like.

I loved this site until the trash mouth began to creep in. I teach school and my kids love this site. They like to put new titles to the pictures. Masturbate is not a word for 6 and 7 year olds. I am not a prude, and neither are the parents of my class. Every parent voted to eliminate this from the childrens’ projects.

What’s bad is making a child self conscious about normal innocent behavior. This particular LOLcat is very funny, and we’ve come to think humor justifies anything. Grown-up masturbation is different from childhood self-exploration, and whether it’s bad or it isn’t, talking about it destroys the kind of innocence children need to have preserved until they’re older. If this site doesn’t respect children, then it’s not appropriate for them, and I agree, that’s sad. Lots of people are oblivious to children’s genuine needs.
