Very photoshopped, however funny. You can tell by:
1. The left and right paws are not effecting the “sand”
2. The “sand” has a texture more coherent to carpet.
3. The “sand” is a color different from real sand

Its photoshopped, so its not real. But I dont find it funny, because its trying to make humor of a life/death scenario. Some things you can laugh at thats not real, others, you cant. Since the carpet is supposed to represent quicksand, the outcome would not be positive in a real scenario. So I can see why others are offended.
What would have made it funny, would have been if it was the same pic but either cat food, toys, or litter, and with a slightly different phrase like if toys “HALP – I ordered too much on QVC!” or something – anything that lets you know the scenario would be a positive outcome. thats MOL
And seriously, people have really no right to attack anothers spelling when
a) they are on a site notorious for purposefully mispelling and
b) they cant spell themselves.
